Heartland Co-op in Rippey might have bragging rights as having the highest American flag in the county. The flag flies proudly on the catwalk, about 135 feet up, year round.
According to co-op personnel, the flag is replaced every three to four months because at that height, it gets tattered in the wind. “We wouldn’t want a flag up there that didn’t look nice,” the co-op spokesperson said.
Second highest? GreeneCountyNewsOnline will say it’s the flag on the top of the courthouse dome, but more information will be welcome.
